Lovey stood outside of Nate’s bedroom and gave it a light tap before opening the door. She would have waited to barge in, but she was kind of hoping to catch him with no clothes on. Unfortunately, he was partially dressed and looking delicious in a pair of black and red basketball shorts. Peeking around the door, she said, “hey you.”

“Hey,” he responded looking somewhat uneasy.

“I’ve barely seen you today. Are you hiding out?”

“Not at all.”

“That’s too bad, because if you were,” she said easing up behind him and running her hands over his firm chest, “it would be the perfect time to finish what we started the other night.”

Turning around he brought his eyes to hers and leaned down to smother her with his lips. “Mm. Now that sounds like a plan to me.”

“Aye Nate,” Shad said storming into the room.

Irritated Lovey dropped her head. What was it with all of the damn interruptions?

Peering over her shoulder, “yeah man,” Nate replied.

Shad looked at them both. “My bad. Did I interrupt something?”

“Hell yeah,” she blurted.

Nate laughed.

“Sorry.” Shad stood with a grin on his face.

“Whatever.” She gave Nate a kiss on the cheek. “I’ll be seeing you later.”

“I’ll be looking forward to it.”

With a smile on her face, she walked closer to the door.

“My bad sis.”

Lovey didn’t say anything. She just rolled her eyes and walked out of the room.

After another failed attempt to have some alone time with Nate, Lovey agreed to go shopping with Lana and Nia.

“What you think about this one?” Lana asked while holding up a pink lace lingerie set.

Shrugging her shoulders, Lovey dipped her plastic spoon into a small bowl of vanilla ice cream. “It’s cute, but who the hell are you going to wear it for?”

“Don’t worry about all of that.” Lana tossed the skimpy piece into the shopping bag and they walked towards the checkout counter.

“Why wear all of those clothes when you could just wear nothing?” Lovey asked.

Nia laughed. “Everything isn’t always about sex. Sometimes it’s about intimacy and that’s what lingerie is for.”

Lovey rolled her eyes. “Intimacy? I don’t have time for that shit.”

“So you’re saying that you don’t want to be intimate with Nate?” Lana teased.

“I want to have sex with Nate,” she answered emphatically.

Nia wasn't buying it. “Come on girl, we’re not fools, it’s way more than that with the two of you.”

Lovey paused. There was definitely more between them, but it was way too soon to determine what that was. Until she had a better understanding, the only thing on her mind was seeing if he could send her over the edge like he did last night.

Lana sat her items on the counter and Lovey toyed with the different shades of lipsticks stationed next to the cashier. “Honestly, I don’t know where things are headed with me and Nate.”

“But you’re open to the possibility of finding out?” Nia questioned with a huge grin on her face.

Tilting her head to the side, Lovey smiled. “Maybe.”

“That sounds like a yes to me,” Nia said while clapping her hands together.
